Throughout the year, I am continuously renewing membership to many organizations, both business and personal, but mostly business related. Every time I write a check (or look at my bank statement) , I really think long and hard as to whether each of the memberships has served me as a member and am I getting a return on my investment. But then another question comes to mind and that is how have I given back to this organization? So here is what I think about when I pay my NAHU/WAHU dues.

How has WAHU/NAHU helped me?

Position myself as a professional/specialist in the insurance field thru education/networking.

Help me to stay committed to the success of my business thru legislative updates.

Develop and grow my business as an advocate and resource for business practices.

Professional development through CE, networking.

Educate clients to stay well informed on health insurance and current legislative issues.

There is definitely a positive return on my investment dues. If for some reason, you are not feeling the same, you need to speak to a WAHU Board Member, whether on the State or Local level. They will tell you that the time they spend in discussions and meetings are well worth our time. They truly demonstrate leadership thru commitment and involvement.
