Wow!  It is summer already?  The kids are getting done with school.  The water is warming up.  The fish are biting and the golf courses are green.  Vacations are coming up.  Time to RELAX!  Unfortunately NOT!  Not at this time in our industry.  We need to keep active both politically and professionally.  There are a number of excellent candidates for numerous political offices in our region.  Many are small business owners that have run profitable successful businesses.  They have balanced the books and done well even in a tough economy.  Imagine those qualities in a public official!  I am personally backing several of them and encourage you to do the same.  Remember in November is the slogan.  As I mentioned, we also need to continue to be active in our professions and to keep fighting, literally for our livelihoods.  Keep the pressure on our elected officials and let them know how important our roles are in the insurance process.  Continue to educate your clients as to all the issues involved in Healthcare Debate.  It is mainly through educating them that we can have the greatest impact on our elected officials.  We will be scheduling another Chapter Meeting in August.  I hope to see you there.  Have a great summer and keep up the fight!
